Return of the pioneers
Anyone who has kept track of the developing metalcore scene in the early 2000s will have heard of KORODED! Founded in 1997, broken up in 2007 and reunited since 2010, KORODED stand for honest, uncompromising metal coming straight from the guts and from the heart. Live long-since known as a grenade with a solid fan base reaching beyond the national borders, in 2013 the quintet reported back with a new long-player for the first time since their creative pause: DANTALION (Rel. September 27th, 2013 via NOIZGATE Records) is an atmospherically thrilling steam hammer of sound with intense and soulful melodies and big load of fat grooves.
After a staff turnover on the mike in January 2014, Andreas Leifeld (guitar), Ben Overmann (drums), Christoph Golks (bass) and Adrian Schlesinger (guitar) have boarded the studio again together with new frontman Kevin Kearns (vocals): The new single PHOBOS, taken from KORODED’s latest album DANTALION will be released June 27th, 2014! With as many as three versions of the song and a New Vocal-Version of FIFTEEN AND ONE the pioneers of metal core from the German Lower Rhine region deliver a divine mixture of bittersweet-melancholic undertone, heavy guitars, massive grooves and diehard earworms! The music video for PHOBOS will be coming the same day: A very intimate clip, in which each member of the band has to face his deepest fears!
