“If you’re too lazy to lift your butts from the couch to celebrate your local concert scene”, our colleagues at Deafground thought, “we’ll bring the concerts to your homes. Into your living rooms. Or maybe your beds. Wherever…”
No sooner said than done: The idea for DEAFGROUND LIVE was born! In the very best DIY fashion Deafground has been producing its own webstream live show at our shared headquarters in Bielefeld every second month, presented by charming singer Debby Le Part with the support of a regularly changing guest host. Having two bands in the “studio”: A local act from Bielefeld (Support your local scene!) and a formation from the Deafground / NOIZGATE Records label family. Interviews, live concerts – produced for a target group that might not leave home that often any more but still wants to actively participate in music life. The audience of DEAFGROUND LIVE isn’t understood as a bunch of passive TV gawkers – on the contrary: Viewers are explicitly called upon to interfere with the happenings in the studio by using the comment function below the stream and to address the bands with their own questions during interviews.
Until now DEAFGROUND LIVE has been streamed on Facebook exclusively. That’s changed now, as Deafground will be considerably expanding its broadcasting format with the next stream: DEAFGROUND LIVE #4, presenting groovecore formation MATA LEÃO from Bielefeld and our modern metal shooting stars THE LEGION:GHOST from the region of Cologne on 09/23/2017 at 9 p.m., will for the first time also be broadcast via NOIZGAT Records‘ YouTube channel and on Twitch! The show will be co-hosted by dyed-in-the-wool metal head and music blogger Axel Veil.
A little lookout: DEAFGROUND LIVE #5 will bring you a fine dose of alternative sound on 11/04/2017 at 9 p.m., presenting STORAGE5 (Bielefeld / Deafground Records) and OPERATION CHERRYTREE (NOIZGATE Records).
